Are nasturtiums prone to frost

They'll take a few cool nights but a hard frost will kill them. It's because they've got such a high water content. The water expands when frozen & ruptures the plant's cells, like freezing a cucumber...

yes they are sensitive once they have germinated. None of mine in the open garden have germinated yet but once it warms up they will. the seeds are much hardier than the plant.
