When is a good time to prune my Olive Tree

Olive: When is a good time to prune my Olive Tree, and how much should I remove from the long trailing branches please? I've had it for about 5 years and it grows ever so well, produces loads of flowers and even sets fruit (which never grow or ripen of course). But its getting rather straggly now and I feel I should give it a hair cut. Any advice?

Thanks from me too Derek! Bought one last year, planted it on a slight slope. Seems to be settling well...just think it’ll be a slow grower.

I’ve done it now. Just took the longest of the longest shoots off, so hopefully it will thicken up a bit now.

Hi Karen, pruning group 1, minimal pruning, in spring, so you can do it now, Derek.
