scadoxus multiflorus. I have purchased one of these bulbs and planted as instructions ie with neck above compost level. (it's an indoor plant) Does anyone have experience of these and how long from planting before I should expect any growth? thanks

Hi, these bulbs should be planted in autumn or winter, to flower in summer, if you've only just planted it, it may flower in the late summer, or it may not flower at all this year, but dry it off as the leaves fade, and keep in the same pot for next year, Derek.

I have grown it before in th egreen house. from memory the leaves started to show after a couple of weeks. I ssem to remember thinking it behaved like an amaryllis bulb. on good summer days I used to put it outside.
