I have some large clumps of lupins that I wish to split to increase my stock. When and how do I DO THIS?

Wait until October time when the leaves are dying back, lift the lupin clump and use two garden forks to separate into two or more pieces. Make sure each piece has a good root on it. Replant where you want them to grow and water in well.
