grown setanta pots for first time. Just started to harvest. Covered in white spots. No idea what they are dont look like any usual problems. Anybody got any ideas. would be most grateful

Answers
They are lenticels ( pores ) that enable the tuber to breathe. They are more pronounced in wet conditions and more noticable on red potatoes such as Setanta. As Moon grower says, nothing to worry about, quite normal.

We had this on a few of our potatoes, nothing to really worry about means the ground has been rather wet. The potatoes are still fine to eat.
