Should I dead head Astrantias when the flowers are "going over". They are in a branch, should the whole branch of flowers be cut back and will they reflower

Thank you for your advice, I shall dead head the branch so that I get second flush, and I certainly will leave the last flush to set seed, as I really love these plants.

yes dead head them complete with the 'branch' and they will produce a second flush of flowers. if you leave the later flowers to set seed you will get new plants next year and you may get some nice pink variation in them.
