I have two holly bushes and want to get rid of one , have been told must have two for pollination. is this true .there are lots of berries on both everyyear. one left side other on the right side of the garden .

To get berries on a holly there must be a male and a female growing fairly close together. The female has berries, the male does not. If both of your hollies bear berries, Guest, then you have two female bushes and should be able to remove one of them. There must be another holly near by that does not have berries.
