For two consecutive years my spider lilies have grown huge very healthy leaves, indeed this year they have even increased in the number of apparent bulbs. However there is no sign of any flowers. Should I be feeding them now, at the end of their flowering season or early spring? Should I not be feeding them at all?

according to the RHS advice: ''water freely when in growth and apply dilute, balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks. keep deciduous species dry in the dormant period and evergreens just moist. outdoors grow in moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil in sun or partial shade. protect from winter et when dormant.''
do you know which species you are growing? Being in Cheshire you are probably quite mild. Do you have them in pots or in the ground?

I'd try giving it a sprinkle of sulphate of potash in about February - a boost of potassium could help to balance what looks like a bit too much nitrogen in the past.

That's why they haven't flowered and it's probably a high nitrogen fertilizer which inhibits flowering. If you want to see flowers don't use fertilizer.
