Lavander question....
moved into a house with an abondened garden... found 2 lavanders which are woody... any ideas? or should i remove it completely and plant new ones?

Plant your plugs and let them grow and flower next year. When they have finished flowering cut off the first 6 inches of growth just repeat that every year. After about 6 years they will look a bit woody at the base, you then need to replace them again either by buying more plugs or by taking cuttings.

Those lavenders look beyond rescuing to me Detta, I'd dig them up and plant new ones - remember to keep them pruned so that they don't get leggy.
