Scabiosa /pin cushion .
Good afternoon, My question is: I have three scabiosa/pin cushion plants about 2 years old , and I have noticed that the leaves are different at the bottom of the plant, quite large leaves whereas the upper leaves are a lot thinner and a different shape, is this normal ? Thanks for reading.

Thank you for that Seaburngirl. So, do you know if they should be what I call a scruffy, leggy plant like mine. I thought when I bought them, they would be a nice compact plant , and yes they are a pretty little flower. x

they do tend to be scruffy/leggy if you get the taller ones. I have them growing with phlox and helenium so they are slightly supported. there are some more compact varieties but I personally am not keen on them.
