could you please give me the best ways to care for my Streptocarpus as i have had it given to me with no instuctions on feeding & watering

i keep mine in bright but indirect sun light. water as cinders says. I give mine a baby bio feed monthly during the active growing period and nothing in the less growth period.

If you have hard water, or mechanically softened water, it will also appreciate rainwater or purified water instead, as it is somewhat sensitive to excess minerals.

Most important thing is not to overwater it. Dont let it stand in water. Just water it when the compost feels dry or the pot feels light. If it needs water you will notice that the leaves and flowers begin to droop. But if you overwater it the symptoms are the same, but you wont get it to revive.
