WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO A INFECTED PLANT IF YOU PUT 10 TIMES THE RECOMMENDED STRENGTH OF A INSECTICIDE ON IT? THANKS

I agree! My Erythrina didn't like the recommended dose very much.

Not sure that I agree with such strong statements. Whilst I rarely use insecticides, when I feel the need to on special ornamenalts in the greenhouse I do the job thoroughly without ill effect on the plant. Mind, I doubt that I have ever used at 10x recommended strength.

Nicotine based chemicals are generally ok to use on plants. These are used primarily in the insecticide Provado.

It makes no difference in relation to the killing of pests, but it does to the plants well being. Hence why pesticides are recommended at certain strengths, just like stronger mix of weedkiller makes no difference..

1/10 strength of an insecticide may or may kill insects, but it stands a better chance of breeding an insecticide resistant population of bugs, to all of our sorrow! Normally better to use according to label directions for both reasons, Zoet

Welcome, Zoet!
Unfortunately, with most plants and insecticides, it would mean severely damaging or killing the plant.
