Can any one identify this plant? could it be a lemon cucumber?

Can any one identify this plant? It came up on my dads farm -he thought it was a mushmellon vine. The fruit or vegetable on it in about one inch and round with lots of seeds. could it be a lemon cucumber? the skin is smooth ( not prickley at all) .

Well it's defnitely a gourd of sorts, an ornamental type, I would say. Someone will know. Phil J
