What’s the best growing medium for carrots in a container? Is it multi purpose compost, a mixture of soil and compost, home made compost or anything else?

Answers

I would suggest a 50/50 mix of multipurpose compost and sharp sand (that's horticultural sand, not builders' sand). The compost is for stability and nutrition, and the sand is to aid in the prevention of fanging, and to assist with drainage. Nobody wants soggy carrots!
