I agree with Loosestrife find why the ants are there feeding, solve that issue and the ants will leave.

The ants themselves don't do any damage, but follow them and they will lead you straight to the problem. Agree with above.

The ants are there probably because they are in a symbiotic relationship with a pest to your palm such as aphids or scale. The ants are there to protect aphids or scale who pay for that protection by exuding a sweet liquid which the ants feed on. Carefully check your leaves for aphids and scale. The ant attracting insects sucking the sap out of the leaves can be eradicated by using an insecticidal soap. Welcome to GOY. I am sure other members will have answers for you too.
