I have a dwarf lilac tree and I have cut it back very hard, until only the bottom stems are left and there are no leaves on them (it was too big and untidy)
I want to move it to a different place and wonder if it would be alright to do so now while it has no leaves, or would it be better in the autumn, by which time it will hopefully have started regrowing.

as long as u can do it now. its going to be 'in shock' anyway. but try to lift it with as much soil around it as you can. Dig its new hole first and pour in a decent amount of water [bucket full] then move it. But watch your back!
