Hello everyone, ever mindful that I'm getting older, I'm trying to make my garden easier to look after both for me and perhaps a gardener in the future. I'd like to create a grass garden and wondered if anyone had any ideas and tips for me. The garden faces west and is fairly sheltered.

Julia, try Knoll Gardens for information, help and advice on creating a grass garden. Really excellent advice to be had.

Thanks Paul, I took a look online and I'll definitely be adding this to my possibilities.
Thank you Shirley, I wish they were nearer as I'd love to visit the gardens...when they re-open. Meanwhile I'll try dropping them an email.

I love Fountain Grass. There is one called 'Fireworks' that has a lot of wow. Even the plainer varieties look nice as well. It's grass that never needs mowing. It grows in a clump so it's non invasive. Brings color & movement and flood control. Another one I really like is Black Mondo Grass. You can use both for a real eye catching display.
