If anyone is unsure about how to prune their Wisteria, I would like to offer this simple advice . . . . simply remember 7 & 2.
Prune the long "new" growth back to 7 buds in the 7th month then prune the same ones back to 2 buds in the 2nd month . . . . easy 7 & 2 !
