My Agapanthas leaves are suddenly turning yellow and dieing.they are in large pots and are about 10 yrs old with
the roots wellabove the topof the pots.Until last week they looked healthy and have several large buds about to open. I have given them Tomarite about three times since late April
Why? Is there a cure?

Many thanks Bathgate. All blooms have started to open and do not appear to be affected so I will wait flowers have gone, cut stems low as possible and repot about October.

Your agapanthas is slowly being starved of water, food & air. The roots are so compacted, they are rendered useless and there is no available nutrients to take up anyway or room for gas exchange carbon dioxide/oxygen.
It's time to repot your agapanthas. You can probably divide the bulbs into different pots and try to salvage what you can. This is the worst time to repot, but what do you have to loose?
