Can I repot a Hydrangea Macrophylla(sturdy Nanping Blue) in July? A friend has bought me this beautiful plant, but the pot it’s growing in seems too small, and it’s top heavy. Will I damage it by moving it now?

I forgot to say, ensure the plant is well watered before repotting,sorry!

You can do it now, just take care not to damage the root ball when you transfer it to a bigger pot, and make sure you water in well, and keep it watered thoroughly up to autumn, till its had time to put out more roots into the surrounding new potting soil.
