it sometimes does but it doesn't say it today for me. Not sure why it flips but this question regularly crops up. As for security I have never had a problem.

Yes, it is - this is a public site and anyone can view anything that's on it without being a member, with the exception of private messages and the personal details you gave when you joined up, such as your email address. Just don't post any of your personal details in blogs or questions and answers...

It means it is unsafe to buy products from this site because your credit card details would not be securely stored.

Hywel, I didn't think the site sold anything anyway - does it sell stuff? Or do you mean if you click on an advert?

If you click on 'Garden Centre' in the top green bar you can go to different sites where you can buy things for the garden.
I'm not sure whether GoY would store your credit card details if you bought from one of those sites but I'm not going to risk it.

Well I never, hadn't noticed that before... anyway, I clicked on it, and selected a plant at random, with a tab saying 'burncoose'. That loads up Burncoose website, which is secure - there's a padlock in the top bar, so you're actually using and buying from their website, not GoY. Seems products in the 'garden centre' are basically just links to on line garden retailers, who usually all have secure sites, so you're safe to buy that way. Although to be honest, its probably better to just Google the plant you want and then select a supplier from the list that comes up - it wasn't quick, linking from Grows on You to Burncoose...

I see, thanks Bamboo.
I still don't trust GoY though, the people in charge have abandoned it and if anything were to go wrong they probably wouldn't care or do anything about it. I was told they were too busy doing 'other projects' ...
