Hello

I am new to the group so Hi to you all.
I have a Dicksonia Antartica about 30cm tall which I bought a couple of months ago it has 5 fronds all looking good but 1 is really drooping.
It is planted in a very large pot with drainage and I am watering the trunk and crown rather than the soil as advised by the garden centre. I water every evening about 500-700 ml per day, it is located in semi shade in a non draughty corner of my garden

I am concerned that I am either over or under watering, could someone please advise?

Many thanks

welcome to GoY Sharonj.

if you think it might be over watering then reduce the amount and see if the plant perks up. Water every other day rather than less every day.

however there may be others oon the site who can give you better advise. I don't grow this plant and many do.

Hi Sharon, welcome to GoY.
I have two of these tree ferns, which I’ve had planted in the ground for several years. I don’t water them every day, I think as Eileen previously mentioned, it sounds like overwatering. Mine have a bit of sunshine through the day, several hours in fact. To be honest we water them once or twice a week. Hope this helps?

How do I say thanks?
