I have two conifers not Leyland slow growers had then a few years one now 10ft one about 8ft they have always looked well but both are developing brown patches in various areas and it seems to be spreading ?a neighbour thinks aphids?

try making them smaller if you can,that might work.

Well I can see the browning,but no detail at all, unfortunately... you can see it closely, I can't, compare the symptoms with the RHS info on browning conifers, see if you can decide what the problem is....

A photo would be very helpful, hard to diagnose without one; there could be another cause for brown patches. Different conifer aphids affect different types of conifers, RHS link below on various types and treatment
