Looks like something's crawled across the leaf surface - I don't know if slugs and snails like these, but that's what springs to mind, slug and snail damage. If you want to overwinter it, it won't be long till you have to pot it up and bring it indoors anyway though....

that was my first thought too, slug/snail damage. it is a typical pattern.
