Could anyone identify this beastie I found in a pot down in the shady part of the garden please?

Hmm...not a willow, the leaves are opposite. Maybe a Viburnum, Hydrangea, or Dogwood? A closer look at how the leaves join the stem and the veins on the underside of the leaves should help answer the question.

Thank you, I think Dogwood may be the most likely so I shall keep it and wait and see how it develops!
