Could anybody please help with identifying this plant which has grown above the skirting board which appeared when the woodchip wallpaper was torn open. this is on an internal wall of semi detached house. the house next door did have a water leak, now fixed. thanks in antisipation

what ever it is it needs to come out.
Have you got a pet bird/hamster etc that could have dropped a seed that lay unhidden in the damp so it was able to germinate? it is very pale so obviously not that happy indoors.

It is not Japanese knotweed which has been known to come up inside, so that is one relief. And it is a plant rather than a fungus so not Damp or Dry rot.

as its a green plant it only needs carbon dioxide and water and a bit of light and it will grow away quite happily for some time.
