frozen them before. also green tomatoes make a lovely sweet pie, a bit like apple. chutneys/ soups too.

I also found they were slow to ripen and did the big sort out last week. some are still ripening on the window sill.

Green tomato cake is delicious.

Mine were very slow too but eventually they did ripen quite quickly once I brought them in.
I did look up a few green tomato recipes and found: green tomato curry, green tomato pasta, green tomato relish. However, I had no use for them in the end, which was a pity really! Got these off the internet.
