I don't know whether Becky lou is a hardy or non hardy fuchsia. If non hardy it needs to be brought indoors and the soil kept barely damp over winter. If hardy and grown outside I'd mulch it with 2 inches of soil or bark to give it additional frost protection.

according to ask.com beckylou is a new hardy fuchsia, so should be ok outside. just to make sure though i would follow the advice from anchorman, that is what i do with young hardy fuchsias
