I have a Cynara cardunculus cardoon that, this year, has grown over 7 feet tall and has over 30 heads on it, does anyone know if I can split this or take cuttings to grow more?

Youy should be able to split the tuberous roots, but I am uncertain when the best time to do this is in the UK--probably in spring, unless you are in an unusually mild area.
