Anyone know what this plant is? Started growing in my veggie plot lat year and have seen no flowers.

Not convinced - comfrey leaves are usually a more milky green than these?

Thank you but pretty sure it isn't comfrey. The leaves are serated as yoy can see and also a trifle downy to the touch if that helps. I love a mystery!

how about sweet rocket Hesperis matronalis? But mine are slightly broader leafed. Let them flower and then post us a picture so we get an answer please.

Funnily enough Hesperis was what I was thinking but goodness knows where it came from. I will post another pic once/if it flowers. Thank you for taking the time.

I'm thinking sundrops (Oenothera fruticosa) or some close kin. They usually wait until the second summer to bloom

Thanks everyone it has now flowered and is Hesperis Matronalis. Think it is also called Dame's violet or Dame's rocket.
