Eggs and their shells

No, not the song by the greatest band ever, but a question as to what i can do with about 10 eggs that are a few months past their BB date. I know I can put the crushed shells into the composter but what about the yolks & whites - any use in the composter or garden ?

I always put old eggs in the compost I just make sure that I break/ crush them first.

We are going to try GF's daughters suggestion that she heard of taking eggshells and smashing them up and scattering in garden beds to keep slugs and snails out...worth a try...I would think the yolks etc..would be fine tossed into the compost...
