GF and I saw this berry along the river as we walked home ..anyone know what it is? Looks so much like a blue berrie or huckleberry to me.

When you get back to the US and perhaps know where a sloe bush is, pick the sloes, wash them, prick them with a large needle, pop into a jar with same amount of sugar, top up with gin and you will have Sloe Gin for Christmas. Yummy! And VERY potent!

That is known in Wales Cat as a Whimberry my mum was born in Wales as a child she use to pick them every Sunday walking to Chapel they are very good for you.
