I have a Viburnum Bodnantes- Dawn and a Spirea Arguta-Bridal wreath in my garden near Watford and both are now blooming.Its September! Does anyone know why? Kate.

Happens sometimes with spring flowering plants - primulas and polyanthus being prime examples. The conditions now are not dissimilar from conditions in spring, so these plants sometimes produce flowers about now, but usually not as many and it doesn't go on as long either.
