I have a sarcoccocca confusa which I have had in a smallish pot on my patio for a few years. It is not thriving ... I have recently moved and now have a garden. I thought it should do better if I plant it in open soil. What is the best time of year and what soil conditions would it prefer. I know it thrives in shade.
