Did someone mention on here about it was a good thing to have some French Marigolds in with tomatoes to avoid flies in a Greenhouse ?

Supposedly they keep white flies away. Never worked for us though.

Nor us either and the slugs enjoyed them a lot.

Whiteflies love Marigolds (Tagetes), but they do repel greenfly and blackfly.

If you have slugs they'll be gone in no time (Marigolds.... don't not know about flies)

Marigolds also repel nematodes which attack the roots. The effect can last for years.

Slugs will strip the leaves off almost overnight though.

How do I say thanks?
