is it ok for me to prune my olive tree now, and how should i do this, they are in pots at the side of my front door but look a little bit wilde at the moment.i would like to shape them.

No, its not, its too late in the year. This job needs doing in Spring, and you can reshape again by beginning of July, but that's it, if they're outside all winter.
