Thank you Bamboo and Heron we have had a lot of rain today,and showers forecast for tomorrow so hopefully I`ll try to move it at the weekend then keep my fingers crossed......

Yes, it is the hydrangea query- thanks once again Bamboo, I`ll leave it until mid October as you suggest then move it, as I don`t want to lost it.

Take some cuttings too, as insurance. They root quite easily.

This must be the hydrangea query... I'd still wait till mid October - all the time the plant's got leaves, transpiration is taking place (moisture evaporating from the leaves).
