i have canteloupe melons growing outside on my allotment, does anyone no if i can ripen them off the vine indoors like you can a tomato as im worried i will lose them to bad weather now its meant to be getting colder

Better not to have sun on them.

Put them in a dry frost free shed on some new fleece or clean cloths, press the top end now and again to see if they are ripe.
