English Lavender question
When should I prune English Lavender?
Should I prune them down now to where I see new shoots appearing at the base of the plant?

You only need to cut all the dead or faded flowers off,and trim the foliage back as required.,but not into dead wood. No need to cut down to the base.I'm about to do mine, and it always comes back as good, every year,as the English ones are hardy, unlike some French varieties.:o)

I've pruned mine down now, but not right to the base. I've cut it down to the bushy bits about 9 ins to 1 ft from the base.
