This might sound stupid.I have a Montana growing through a Magnolia tree,and would like to thin it out quite a bit,do you know if it would just pull down or would you have to unfurl it from the branches.

The problem with pulling at it would be damaging the Magnolia branches. I would think it better to unwrap it before trying to remove it. You may have to cut it into short lengths to get it off.
