On plant Aquilegia

Answers

now is an excellent time to plant Aquilegia seed. I grow hundreds every year from fresh seed off my own plants. Some have already germinated & some will germinate in the Spring as they need stratification ( a cold spell to break dormancy ) I sprinkle them in straight drills same as you would sow spring onions or radish etc then pop some chicken wire over them as garden creatures will root around them too much. You could of course sow them in pots just as well. I grow two types exclusively, one has a beautiful lime green leaf & the other is a variagated leaf, Woodsii I think it's called. So expensive to buy, so easy to grow. I will blog some photo's up shortly so you can see how mine are doing. Good luck.
