I'm wondering if it would be OK to divide my 'exploding' Creeping Phlox and when would it be the correct time ,please.

Wow that is a beauty. Usually towards the end of the summer as it 'relaxes' or early spring before it 'gets going'. But if you have to do it then just water it really well. I find that it roots itself in as it creeps.
