Mystery shrub! Hi all I have a shrub in the garden with unusual characteristics. The leaves are linear, waxy, smell of resin when crushed. The internodes are long. New leaves start as yellow glabrous buds. I haven’t seen it flower! I am guessing a Myrtle but doesn’t quite match their description.
Have a look at the photo. Any ideas please.

Yellow buds, aromatic foliage, red stems…it looks like some sort of Eucalyptus. I’ve never seen one like it though, but there are tons of different kinds, so might be worth looking at them.
