evidence of worm in potatoes ie holes but not found any. Can potatoe still be used to eat?

The holes in potatoes are usually made by keeled slugs and then exploited by other creatures, like centipedes and wood lice etc. There is nothing wrong with the potato itself, just got a hole in it, so still edible.
