This weed, an awful nuisance. What is it called and how can I get rid of it forever rather than continually pulling it out. It is in my borders alongside plants I wish to keep.

yes it is a creeping buttercup. As Feverfew says digging up or a systemic weed killer is the option.

It’s a creeping buttercup. Apart from digging it up there’s only weed killer & I think you’d have to paint it onto the leaves in order to avoid the other plants.
