I planted three packs of gladioli earlier this year. One pack flowered beautifully and has died back, the second pack only produced two flowers, the third didn’t have any flowers at all. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what went wrong, please?

Loosestrife is spot on. The pots are far too small and you have wound up with very little compost in the containers to hold any moisture. Best grown in the ground next time where they can be spaced out a little and won't be in competition for moisture and nutrients.

yes I agree not enough water due to the smallish pots.

Perhaps you planted too many bulbs in one pot. The containers look small for the number of bulbs in them.
