I suggest soaking the bulbs overnight in tepid water with a little fungicide before planting. Sadly most of the Frit meleagris sold are dead so do not be too disappointed if threy do not all grow.

they are available now and should look smooth/plump. if the surface is wrinkly like a raisin then they are rather dry and should respond to soaking as owdboggy suggests.

Previous question
The bulbs should be planted as soon as you have them and not allowed to dry out too much. It is usual to get and plant the bulbs in autumn and X3 the depth of the bulb is fine.
