NZ Flax
My red Flax was badly bitten by the frost and all the leaves died. I've now cut them off, cut down the stem to about a foot and covered it with a plastic cloche to protect from further frost. The cut stem showed white but no green. Is it likely to survive?

Thanks SBG. Right now though I shall leave it on since we have snow and cold temperatures.

They often come away from the base so all is not lost. During the day if dry and sunny take the cloche off to keep air circulating to stop it rotting.
