According to to the Website of a supplier of Auriculas, root aphids may be removed by bare rooting the plants and bathing them in a horticultural soft soap solution. So has anyone done this and did it work?

Given up on all Primula as they all get Primula root aphids. Nothing seems to have worked so far. Going to give this idea a trial, but at £20 for 500ml, it had better work.
Never heard of root aphids on anything else though, other than Primula.

do your auriculas suffer? I have had them on Lysimachia mummularia and gave up trying to clean them off.
