My bay trees suffered quite badly in the winter but were showing signs of new growth, however I have now seen that most of the new growth seems damaged and the leaves have changed shape also my box plant have a lot of dead leaves on them, this has happened almost overnight, any ideas ?

Hi, both look to be sun scorch/heat damage. The box can be trimmed back once we get some cooler weather.
snip off the damaged bay leaves too and water well.
